About

Black Market Canna Co holds an adult-use cannabis retail license for Poughkeepsie, registered with New York's Office of Cannabis Management. Active license status (OCM-CAURD-24-000088) can be confirmed any time via the OCM portal at cannabis.ny.gov — worth checking before an in-person visit. The shop offers in-store pickup. Every product on the shelf runs through NY's compliance framework: 10mg-per-serving caps on edibles, third-party lab panels on cannabinoid content, and tamper-evident packaging required by OCM. Purchases are restricted to adults 21+ with valid ID at the door. The Hudson Valley's retail cannabis rollout has leaned into the region's agricultural and farm-to-table identity — small-farm partnerships, locally-made edibles, and storefronts often tucked into historic small-town main streets rather than commercial strips. Stock rotates quickly, so calling ahead on the same day as your visit is usually the fastest way to confirm what's on the shelf. Anyone new to cannabis or new to a specific product category is better off asking the budtenders than guessing — the "start low, go slow" principle matters most on edibles (10mg per serving max) where onset can take 30-90 minutes.
