What to expect

The old Dutch holiday tradition the Hudson Valley kept: a full day of puppetry, crowns, a Grumpus parade and a children's procession that shuts down Rhinebeck's village center. Held the first Saturday of December, with the Kingston "Sinterklaas arrives" event the weekend before. Arrive early, park at the edge of the village and walk in.
