About

Licensed by New York's Office of Cannabis Management, Green Veteran NY runs out of Haverstraw as part of the state's adult-use retail framework. Active license status (OCM-RETL-24-000157) can be confirmed any time via the OCM portal at cannabis.ny.gov — worth checking before an in-person visit. The shop offers in-store pickup. Every product on the shelf runs through NY's compliance framework: 10mg-per-serving caps on edibles, third-party lab panels on cannabinoid content, and tamper-evident packaging required by OCM. Sales are 21+ only. Bring valid ID — retailers are required by state law to check on every visit. Hudson Valley cannabis retail tends to move at the region's own pace — slower than Brooklyn or Manhattan, tied more to weekend visitors and the small-town regulars who build relationships with their local shop. Stock rotates quickly, so calling ahead on the same day as your visit is usually the fastest way to confirm what's on the shelf. For first-time visitors or anyone new to a specific product category, the budtenders are there to guide dose + format choices — the "start low, go slow" principle still applies, especially on edibles at 10mg per serving.
