About

Licensed by New York's Office of Cannabis Management, Root 9 Dispensary runs out of Wappingers Falls as part of the state's adult-use retail framework. Registered license: OCM-CAURD-24-000195. Status is public record via OCM's verification portal at cannabis.ny.gov. The shop offers in-store pickup. State-regulated product categories include flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles (capped at 10mg THC per serving), concentrates, tinctures, and topicals — all lab-tested and OCM-compliant. Adults 21+ only; a valid government-issued ID is required at entry. Hudson Valley cannabis retail tends to move at the region's own pace — slower than Brooklyn or Manhattan, tied more to weekend visitors and the small-town regulars who build relationships with their local shop. A same-day phone call is the most reliable way to confirm hours and stock — menus rotate frequently at most licensed shops. For first-time visitors or anyone new to a specific product category, the budtenders are there to guide dose + format choices — the "start low, go slow" principle still applies, especially on edibles at 10mg per serving.
