Rethink Everything: A Survey of 20th Century Art Movements EXHIBITION: January 23–March 8, 2026 OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, January 24, 4-6pm STAIRWELL GALLERY For Rethink Everything: A Survey of 20th Century Art Movements, Woodstock Day School art teacher Corey Adams presents the work of middle school art students engaged in a close study of modern and contemporary art. Through hands-on exploration, students examine major 20th-century movements and iconic artworks, reinterpreting their ideas, forms, and visual languages. The resulting works reflect both an understanding of art history and a willingness to question, adapt, and reimagine it. Rather than simple imitation, the students’ pieces respond to the shifts in thinking that defined the last century of art, demonstrating how experimentation, abstraction, and conceptual approaches continue to resonate with new generations of artists.
