Hepworth Farms is a 7th-generation working farm in Milton, on the Ulster-County side of the Hudson — running continuously since 1818, women-owned and operated since 1982 by sisters Amy and Gail Hepworth. The farm grows organic vegetables alongside cannabis, and was one of New York's first licensed adult-use cultivators when the program opened in 2022. The cannabis program operates under the same regenerative-agriculture practices as the food side: outdoor sun-grown flower, no-spray inputs, the same crew that's been on the land for generations. Reviewers describe Hepworth's flower as among the cleanest sun-grown cannabis on the New York shelf — outdoor-cultivated, the cannabis-as-agriculture story made literal.
